Our fight to save to common currency might lead to the end of Europe – world famous Italian jewelry designer, Gianni Bulgari told Magyar Hírlap. We discussed the future of the continent with the head of luxury watchmaking and jewelry company GB-Enigma.
The idea of an unified Europe was understandable after the war, but it turned out to be a utopia as no country really wanted to join a unified Europe, the alliance was motivated by the fear of Germany gains power again – Gianni Bulgari explained to Magyar Hírlap during his recent visit to Budapest. According to the designer, nobody wants to be „a citizen of Europe” because they want to belong to their own nations in the first place. Europe can’t be compared to the USA, it’s no nation state and doesn’t have the nationalism of the Americans, Bulgari emphasised. (…)
According to Bulgari, Europe must make „one brave and common decision” about the future of the continent, otherwise history will repeat itself and member states will fight for their national sovereignty as they did in the 19th century. (…)
